The roast
Tycho claims to build marketing engines that generate pipeline, but with 37,000 followers and only 14 posts a month, his primary export is clearly just watching his own engagement rate gather dust. He is the human version of a flyer for a seminar on how to print more flyers.
About Tycho
My co-founder and I got fired 7 years ago. On the same exact day. After, we decided to build the #1 B2B Marketing Agency together. In only 7 years, Dapper grew to: - A team of 70 B2B marketers- 20+ different nationalities- 100s of B2B brands helped internationally- The most viral B2B marketing agency worldwide How did we grow to where we are today? The obvious answer: a great service and the best possible team. The not-so-obvious answer: our own marketing. We apply to ourselves what we offer our clients. We optimized for becoming famous in our niche (Demand Gen) and capturing active demand as effectively as possible (Demand Capture). The result: more inbound leads than we can handle in most months. If you're running marketing for a B2B brand, you're probably not getting the results you're looking for. Chances are: - Marketing impact on pipeline is limited- You're not getting enough high-quality leads- Your content is not getting nearly enough traction - You're spending ad budget without a clear idea of ROI We've helped hundreds of businesses like yours improve their marketing engine. We build extensions of marketing teams — with exactly the right experts to move the needle on your results. Send me a DM or visit our website to learn more. Not ready for that yet? Just enjoy the content. I post daily about B2B marketing. Sometimes funny, mostly educational.

4 years ago, I came up with the Niche Famous Framework. 4 years later, people post about it on LinkedIn, and prospects ask me to make them niche famous. But, I've also had plenty of critical feedback. "Why invent another marketing term? Why not just call it Demand Gen or Personal Branding? There were two reasons I coined the Niche Famous Framework: 1. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, I felt the existing marketing terminology didn't properly capture this way of working. 2. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, I wanted an idea that belonged to Dapper. There are 100s of B2B agencies worldwide. So wha

The way most B2B companies use funnels is hurting their marketing. Let's say your total addressable market is 30K The traditional playbook looks like this: • 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 → 30K people see your educational content • 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 → 3K engaged with TOF, so only they see your case studies • 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 → 300 engaged with MOF, so only they see your offer Sounds logical, but there's a big problem. The people who see your brand most often are... the people who already engaged. The rest of your market barely sees you. Which means only a small p
