We were building for about 3 years before it ultimately crashed and burned during covid. I learned a lot about cofounder dynamics. Wrote a book, then a newsletter, then started coaching. In between, I've joined a handful of startups, mostly in growth and product roles. Most recently I was the founding growth lead at a seed stage AI company. --- DMs open. Always down for coffee in SF.

We hired our first employee in 2021. We crossed 100 a few weeks ago. - Hiring isn’t hard. - Retention isn’t hard. - Org design isn’t hard. - Raising more isn’t hard. What’s hard is keeping the company feeling like the company while it triples. Every team we've added has changed Flex in some way. The product team thinks about banking differently than the design team does. The underwriters think about risk differently than the salespeople do. But one thing is constant: we’re builders who build for builders.
