The roast
Bill calls himself Doc like he’s performing surgery, but the only thing he’s actually cutting is a 0.20% engagement rate. He’s teaching 345,000 people how to build a business, yet he can’t even convince 100 of them to hit like on his own posts.
About Bill
G'day, I'm Doc, Founder and CEO of Athyna, a global talent platform with two arms: Athyna Talent helps companies hire, manage, and retain world-class remote talent, and Athyna Intelligence, powering AI post-training with elite LATAM talent. I'm Melbourne-based, US-focused, and building across both hemispheres. It's a fun juggle. I also run Open Source CEO: a newsletter read by hundreds of thousands of founders, investors, and tech operators. Think deep dives, founder interviews, and the tools and resources I wish someone had handed me earlier. I'm also proud to be a top-ranked mentor and investor at Startmate, an investor at Blackbird VC, and an active angel investor, having backed beehiiv, Hyperbound, Humane, Metal, and others along the way. Outside of work, I like training, hiking, surfing, and reading. Also needing to walk the boss twice daily, my sausage dog, Ziggy. Through my 20s and early 30's, I have also travelled to 50-odd countries around the world. If you like travel, growing your business, or sausage dogs, feel free to reach out and say hi.

A company I've been working with just threw one of their employees out of a plane. It was one of the best marketing campaigns in a decade. Omnisend saves the average company 35% on their marketing email bill once they migrate. To prove this point, and celebrate this 'drop' they dropped a poor bloke named Karolis from 10,000 feet. Apparently, migration takes five days if you want to try it (and it's free) And no, Karolis will not be harmed if you do. https://lnkd.in/g7vE67Zm
