The roast
Sophie claims "distribution is the final moat," yet spends 34 posts a month to reach less than one percent of her followers. She’s essentially a professional lifeguard for an empty pool, desperately trying to convince everyone that drowning in content is a strategy.
About Sophie
Through GTMnow, I’m sharing how the best in tech build, scale and invest. GTMnow is a media company by GTMfund, which includes a top 1% global podcast and a newsletter with 50k+ subscribers. Through GTMfund, I’m investing in the best B2B software companies, and connecting them to our world-class network of GTM leaders.Tech moats are declining, distribution is the final remaining moat. Your go-to-market strategy and execution now determine your outcome (and that’s what we help with).A motto I live by is:Life is short, and there are 1,440 minutes in every day. Make the most of them, make a difference, and enjoy the ride. How I live this out: - Investing and supporting software companies that are uniquely fulfilling innovative and important missions. - Empowering people with information through GTMnow. Media is a form of communication, and communication shapes perception. In many ways, it's a form of education. And because perception shapes how people engage with the world, media has the power to help shape the world. As Nelson Mandela famously says: “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”- Connecting the right people to each other, through our GTM LP community and beyond. To pull on another famous saying, “your network is your net worth.” Through both community and investment opportunity for operators, our aim is to help people increase both their networks and net worths. - Being present in each moment - that’s where life truly happens. If your mind is somewhere else, it’s hard to fully embrace every minute. - Solving meaningful problems with great humans, spending quality time with people I love, traveling and experiencing new cultures and places (25+ countries), trying new activity experiences (skiing, surfing, skydiving, canyoning, etc.), and appreciating all the waves of life.

Wasn't AI supposed to replace the salesperson? Anthropic is currently hiring more salespeople than engineers. They realize, like many smart companies, that distribution is the new moat. But not in the way you think. Technology barriers are falling, but so is the ability to reach customers. Not only can competitors copy your product, they can reach your target buyers just as quickly as you. REAL distribution muscle is no longer built through paid ads, free trials, and slick user onboarding. It's built through human-to-human relationships. Sales, customer success, and community are now

If he were starting a data company today, this is what Tomasz Tunguz would build: Images and video. The reason behind this is in the math. "An image is probably 1000X to 10000X bigger than a text file. And a video is two or three orders of magnitude larger than that." Text is already straining the infrastructure we have. Custom video is coming, robotics is coming. Both run on data volumes the current stack cannot move. "We need much bigger infrastructure to be able to support it."

NEW: $10M in run rate...with 1 employee! Polsia is an AI that builds and runs companies autonomously, and just raised $30M at a $250M valuation. Ben Cera (Founder and CEO at Polsia) joins GTMnow to share the agent-led fundraise that became the launch, pricing strategies considering the costs of compute, and his bet to make a billion people builders. Polsia handles support, runs ads, builds products, finds leads, registers domains, sets up Stripe, and emails investors - etc. etc. It works 24/7. Key takeaways: 1️⃣ GTM is no longer an afterthought to product-market fit. GTM is actually how y
