"What can I realistically expect from YouTube?" This is the question I get on almost every sales call. Here's the no-bs answer: If you're starting from 0 with no audience anywhere else, expect 2-4 months before the channel really starts generating leads on its own. But if you already have an audience on LinkedIn, X, or an email list, you can see lead flow in as little as 2-6 weeks. A prospect called my strategy plagiarism on a sales call last week. (He was half right.) He showed me 2 thumbnails that looked almost identical. A small channel had copied a bigger channel in the same niche. Same title. Same thumbnail. Same topic. He said that felt shady. And he was right. That IS copying. But that's not what we do. Because there are 2 very different things people call "copying." 1 = You take a video from a competitor in your niche and remake it. Not only is it lazy, it doesn't even work. You added nothing new, so YouTube has no reason to rank you over the original.
