Julien prides himself on helping companies go from what do you do again to how did I live without this, which is a bold strategy for a guy whose own engagement rate proves the market reached a verdict on both questions months ago.
About Julien
I help B2B SaaS companies go from βwhat do you do again?β to βhow did I live without this?β Over the last 10+ years, Iβve led marketing at some of the most iconic (and category-defining) companies in tech β Salesforce, Gong, Clari β and now Cordial. From brand storytelling to GTM strategy, my teams have designed categories, launched products, repositioned companies, and created campaigns that punch way above their weight. Today at Cordial, Iβm focused on helping retail brands win the battle for attention β with smarter AI, deeper customer signals, and personalized messaging that actually performs. I also teach with the Product Marketing Alliance and nerd out about positioning frameworks, lightning strikes, and the psychology behind why messages stick. If youβre a fellow marketer, builder, or founder β letβs connect.

And then we book a vacation, set an out-of-office, and spend the first three days detoxing from the job we chose. Iβm not sure when we decided this was the deal. But we all signed it. The 15 days are great though π

Two marketers walk into a bar. One works at a SaaS company: "We're not backfilling the role. AI can do it." One works at an AI company: "We're not backfilling the role. We need someone better." The AI marketer picks up the tab.

If your positioning doesn't have a villain, it has a complaint. Most positioning projects never solve this. They produce value propositions. Messaging. They produce decks. At best, they name a symptom, call it a villain, and wonder why it doesn't move the room. I've been through that process enough times to build a framework around it. Seven criteria. A force. 2οΈβ£ Multi-persona resonance The rep feels it, the manager fe
