The roast

Cornel claims he wants to empower the blind, which explains why he posted three times last month to a crowd of 41,000 people who are effectively ignoring him. He’s spent his entire life collecting Hall of Fame trophies just to make sure nobody misses the fact that he exists.

About Cornel

I was born in a family where my parents and sister have disabilities. Growing up, I didn’t have much, but I was curious. I started reading at 3 and learned programming at 7. At 15, I founded Romania’s first high-school Robotics Club, which under my 3 years as its leader, received over 70 international awards. I launched my first two companies in high school, and one of them paid for my education at Jacobs University Bremen – the place where I first came up with the idea of “glasses for the blind”. After operating as Head of Innovation at Continental Automotive Systems, one of world’s largest automotive manufacturers, I founded .lumen, a startup that creates glasses which empower the blind to live a better life. Today I’m an entrepreneur, a speaker, and an inventor. For my work, Forbes awarded me as the first Romanian in 30 Under 30 Europe, JCI as the first Romanian in the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World program, and JA as the first Romanian in the Global Business Hall of Fame. I believe in building things that help. I believe in making meaning, not money.
