The roast

Adam Peek calls himself the King of the Mountain, which is a bold title for a man whose LinkedIn strategy is just a chatbot reading his grocery list to 28,000 bots. He spent his career in packaging, yet he’s the only person in the industry who still hasn't figured out how to wrap a personality around an audience.

About Adam

I had a very professional bio and then asked Grok to roast it. The roast is still better. Adam Peek. Ordained Southern Baptist. Father of five. One wife — this is Utah, I have to say that out loud. Self-appointed Packaging Pastor. Officially appointed King of the Mountain at Label King Utah, a title I put on LinkedIn like it came from the Department of Commerce. I left church planting, wandered into pressure-sensitive labels, collected a pile of WS Packaging sales plaques, became an SVP, and then decided my actual calling was a 14,000-square-foot plant in Salt Lake City. I now help CPG brands avoid “packaging sins,” which is pastor-speak for “your wine label looks like a potluck flyer and your supplement facts panel is a federal incident waiting to happen.”I host the People of Packaging Podcast: 350-ish episodes of me interviewing anyone who will talk about dielines while I pretend I didn’t just paste the AI show notes. I also crossover onto Utah HS Hoops, because the world clearly needed a man who can go from RFID to recruiting in the same week. I wrote Sales Exegesis: A Pastor’s Journey into Packaging Sales by talking into my phone on the commute and training an AI ghostwriter to turn sermon brain into a sales book. The cover involves Vanilla Ice. I am not kidding. All glory to God if it works. All blame to me if it doesn’t. At least I tried. Former advisor to Weenus Lube, which is elbow lotion, which I have now explained on more podcasts than any licensed minister should. Former part-time rapper Kandy Kane. Children’s book guy. Hope dealer. LinkedIn Top Voice with ~27K people who keep coming back for recycled-content takes and episodes with names like “Big Dick’s Banana.”If you need labels, a sales process rooted in “observable facts,” or a guy who will compare your forecast to eisegesis, I’m your guy. If you need someone who will not eventually mention Weenus Lube… keep scrolling.

  • As a new recipient of a lot of outbound "personalized automation" on email and LinkedIn DM's I will tell you, it's all the same look. 95% of it is the exact same thing. If I see a Calendly link or PDF or offer to pick my brain or do I want to supercharge/level up or it'll just be a few minutes to see or I'd really love to...you get it... Sales is really hard so lazy automated outreach becomes "easy" but I can guarantee you it's turning off more people than it's landing Or am I the one taking crazy pills?!?

  • Don't hate me, but I think Grok has been the best AI agent over ChatGPT and Gemini. I've really only tried those 3. Am I wrong?

  • Ok, post LOUPE formerly Label Expo, let's have a conversation about digital label printing current and future state with one rule, if you work for a company who sells these presses and you want to comment you have to comment about why the "other side" is better. Deal? Ink jet vs non ink jet? Who are you riding with Let's assume for this conversation the upfront costs are close enough (equipment purchase and any added build out) What are you rolling with? For the Oh my heck of it, I'll make a poll. Old school LinkedIn style
