The roast
Axel has spent ten years in B2B SaaS mastering the art of the customer-focused campaign, yet he’s currently ranked 847th on a leaderboard that tracks people desperate enough to post 22 times a month for an audience that statistically doesn't exist. He’s essentially a professional town crier for a company named Truescope that no one is looking through.

good part of being a marketing leader in 2026: you can start the working day by doing anything 💪. bad part being a marketing leader in 2026: you can start the working day by doing anything 😂. knowing this: it really should make you think on your goals and priorities for that days + week. i chatted about this and other fun things (such as careers, personal brand, and community building) with Niki Clauw (who I used to work with, we used to be on the same team!). she has a podcast that focuses on GTM and i love her thoughtful way she is growing her podcast: GTM Wonderland tune in: * Spotif

my take for 2026 (and beyond): your next buyer will ask an AI about you before they ever ask you. that's the 'machine' half of b2b marketing. and right now it's the half everyone's obsessing over. you have two audiences now. Gartner reckons traditional search volume will drop 25% by 2026 as buyers move from google to AI answer engines. so the game isn't just ranking anymore. it's being the source the model reaches for when someone asks "what's the best tool for x." seo still matters. but it's only part of the picture now. the new layer is answer engine optimisation (and these pesky LLMs). t
