🇪🇨 ⚽ People sometimes ask me why I'm so passionate about Ecuador when I wasn't born there. But I became a different person because of this country. I studied at three different universities in Ecuador. I spent my Fulbright there, immersing myself in sociolinguistics to better understand how culture, identity, and history shape the way we communicate. Some of the most formative experiences of my life happened there. I met my husband (from Ireland!) while living in Quito. I made lifelong friends (including my best friend and maid of honor, from Boston!) I learned from native communities.

Happy anniversary to BRAND GLOBAL, ADAPT LOCAL! Katherine Melchior Ray and I launched the English edition of our book in France, a year ago this week, in Cannes. In this first year, I cannot even count all the countries we've done book events in: Spain, France, Germany, Argentina, and the United States of course! It boggles my mind that two Americans launched an English book for marketers in France, then in New York where our very first customer was a student from Turkey at the Barnes & Noble flagship.
