About Leela
My professional journey: sales leader -> management consultant -> marketer -> 3 x CMO at companies spanning series A to post-IPO -> CEO and independent board director. My personal journey: born and grew up in Scotland, moved to the US after uni and stayed. These days I’m a mum to 3 teenage daughters; my husband is my rock; and my dog is devoted. Today I’m honored to lead Parity on the mission to close the gender income and opportunity gap in professional sports. We partner with some of the world’s most innovative brands to help them reach achieve their marketing goals through partnerships with 1,400+ incredible pro women athletes from 85 sports and 30 countries. Together we’re tackling gender income disparity in sports head-on. Previously I was fortunate to learn from and contribute to the amazing cultures at organizations like Bain and Company, LinkedIn, OpenTable, Lever, and SurveyMonkey. I also serve on the Board of Directors at Upwork, the Board of Directors at Empowered by Light, and on the Board of Advisors for the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

I’m with UEFA. The FIFA Women's World Cup™ and Men’s World Cup should not be for sale, and it saddens me (but does not surprise me) to see the agenda being pushed by Infantino and co. Are we all together on this the way UEFA is?

Continuing my WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) All-Star Week reflections… one of my favorite moments from last week was the opportunity to do a panel with Jason Brown OLY. Yes, a male Olympic figure skater.
