The roast
Latané describes her job at Parloa as flipping the industry on its head, which makes sense given her LinkedIn strategy is just aggressive neck-stretching to check her own analytics. She’s authored a book on kicking forms to the curb while still managing to be the personification of one.
About Latané
Why settle for the status quo when you could reinvent it? That’s the spirit I’m bringing to Parloa, where we’re not just raising the bar for AI in customer experience, we’re flipping the industry on its head. My mission is simple: accelerate Parloa as the essential technology partner for every brand obsessed with winning customers (and growing them). I’m not your classic CMO, and I’m proud of it. My journey—sales, consulting, accounting, and a dash of “rock-the-boat”—has powered everything from start-up scrappiness to boardroom transformations. Along the way, I helped 6sense rewrite the revenue playbook, authored the book that kicked “forms” to the curb, and co-founded CMO communities that became the heartbeat for countless marketers and operators. I love building something from nothing: new categories, loyal customers, and new ways of thinking about growth. Catch me speaking at industry events, building movements, and advising founders and boards of our ever-evolving craft. Whether you want to talk about new go-to-market strategies or the next great community experiment, I’m all in. My words to live by: Bring joy. Overdo it. Never waste a deadline. Most of all, never stop raising the bar for what a market leader, a team, and a community can be.

Everybody loves to hate on AI in customer service. But our data says customers are actually totally fine with it. As long as it works. > 85% of the people we surveyed would happily keep using automation if it actually solved their problem. > 75% said they'd PREFER it to a human, as long as it could anticipate what they needed instead of making them start from scratch every time. So the appetite is there. People want this to work. But they drew one hard line, and I think it's a fair one. 67% said they'd rather wait longer for a human than get a fast answer that turns out to be wrong. Speed

Something breaks, you need help. What's your first move? For most people it's still the oldest one. 39% of the folks we surveyed reach for the phone. Website and FAQ only appealed to 14%. After a decade of companies herding everyone toward chatbots and help centers, people STILL want to pick up and call. And what do we give them when they do? Phone automation solves their problem only 7% of the time. Meaning NINETY-THREE PERCENT of the time, callers hang up without fixing what’s broken, more frustrated than when they started. 🤯 I think that’s because we’ve basically let phone support r

Still riding the high from the CCWomen Summit! I was on a panel about the "technology knowledge gap" women face, but TBH I don't think there IS a knowledge gap. The knowledge is out there. It's accessible. And we're at this super-rare moment with AI where NO ONE has 20 years of experience, because the technology is like 20 minutes old. It’s an incredible equalizer. What I DO think exists: a confidence gap. A hesitation to dive in. A fear of looking stupid. A sense that AI is for the "tech people" and not for everyone else. It's not. It's for all of us - every gender, every age, every role
