The roast
Eoin built software to navigate international liquor regulations because he couldn't scale his gin brand. It’s the classic startup pivot: turning a failure to sell alcohol into a company that helps other people lose their shirts trying.
About Eoin
I built a gin brand from zero to nine countries. Two years in, I realised that I didn't control my own destiny, I couldn't grow my brand where there was demand.. Every new market meant new excise rules, and new bonded warehouses. The complexity didn't scale with revenue. It scaled with geography. And the software I needed didn't exist. That experience became Tipple. We're building the operating system for the alcohol industry. The compliance, payments, and logistics layer that lets any brand, distributor, or platform sell alcohol across borders without rebuilding the regulatory stack from scratch. The thesis is simple. Alcohol is a trillion dollar global category. The infrastructure doesn't exist because the regulation is brutal enough to keep generalist platforms out. That's the moat. We power the world's largest drinks groups and the smallest independents. Across DTC and B2B. In every major European market. The Tipple platform plugs into your ecommerce website (Shopify, Woo Commerce and more integrations supported) to automate the key steps in the order & fulfilment journey that at one time meant selling your booze across Europe felt impossible.Tipple automates:✅ Country-specific laws✅ Import taxes✅ Export taxes✅ Excise✅ Inventory✅ Reporting✅ Warehousing✅ Delivery✅ Picking & PackingThink Tipple could help you grow your booze business?Send me a DM now and I'll show you around the platform.

I'm launching the world's worst booze brand. Here's my step-by-step plan: 1) I'm spending as little as possible on brand My mate's daughter went to uni, so she can use AI and stuff. She'll do. 2) I'm spending €0 on advertising I'll built it, and they shall come. Investing in advertising is embarrassing! 3) I'm going the high end of super premium I'm not interested in impulse purchases or making it easy for people to buy my product. My booze will cost a shit tonne because price indicates quality. 4) I'm investing heavily in a consultant Not one with experience of growing and scalin

New partnership 📣 Tipple is now supporting Lavabelle with European DTC. Looks absolutely class. Tastes even better. It's really good – organic French lavender, herbs de Provence, vanilla, citrus. Côte d'Azur in a bottle. (See, I don't just drink gin) And the team won a bunch of awards (92 Falstaff points, DLG Gold Medal with perfect scores). Big things in the pipeline for this brand. Welcome aboard!

53% of Gen Z say sustainability is important when choosing drinks. But only 17% will actually pay a premium for it. (Funny that, isn't it 😂) They want ethics built in, not priced up. They care about values. They'll stop buying from brands that conflict with their beliefs (52% say they would). But when it comes to paying extra? Suddenly they're very price-conscious. So if you're a brand banking on charging 20% more because you're "sustainable"... Good luck with that. Gen Z wants you to be sustainable. They just don't want to be the ones funding it.
