The roast
Daniyal Baig built an AI Operating System for e-commerce, which is a fancy way of saying he programmed a chatbot to ignore customers with the same robotic indifference he uses to ignore his 10,000 followers. MyAlice is the perfect brand name for a founder who spent his entire budget on a Forbes byline just to end up ranked 1,380th in a list nobody knew existed.

We are now expanding further within KSA and

I met Shuvo through a common friend when he was a Forbes Under 30 honoree at which point he was building MyAlice in Asia & I was still running the MENA business at Forbes as COO. We stayed in touch, I came on as an advisor, and the more I understood what he was building the more I couldn't look away. Here's what I kept seeing on the ground in MENA. Smart people with real funding but a broken culture. I watched firsthand how the third one cancels out the first two. My stint at YAP lasted 6 months but the lessons I took out of it I still use every single day. Some of the sharpest fintech minds I've had the chance to work with and friendships I genuinely still carry. No shots, that's not the point of this post. But I'd be doing a disservice to anyone building right now if I didn't share what I took away. - Culture is everything. As a founder if you're not calling out misalignment early you're just delaying an expensive conversation with
