The roast
Perpetual boasts a First Class degree in Accounting, yet spends thirty-nine posts a month teaching people how to write LinkedIn posts nobody actually reads. About Perpetual
Hello, Welcome to my page!😊 Let’s start with a bit of introduction, My name is Perpetual Badejo but a lot of people call me “Peps” for short and you’re free to join them😉. I like to think of myself as a bundle of Talent as I easily come off as different thing to different people. To some people, I’m “Perpetual the tax expert”, to some I’m “Perpetual the Linkedin Coach” and to others “I’m Perpetual the tutor”, so you can choose what you want me to be to you. A little bit about my career, I’m a First class graduate of Accounting, a Chartered Accountant and an Associate of the chartered Institute of Taxation. I am one person who is very passionate about what she does and who is constantly seeking ways of improving herself. Over the course of my career journey, I have had the oppportunity of working in the capacity of an Accounting and Tax resource person for the finance department of different organizations in different industries. This has given me the rare privilege of seeing first hand how Accounting and Taxation are being done in these industries (Manufacturing (FMCG), Oil and Gas servicing, Logistics, Education and Fintech). Lest I forget, I also have good knowledge of a number of accounting softwares like Oracle Nestuite, SAP ERP, SAP Concur, SAGE, Peachtree, Quickbooks and also very conversant with Financial modeling and Analysis. When I’m not in the finance department of the company where I work, I am somewhere either taking up of one the numerous courses I have or Reading up and trying to come up with value adding content for my community. In my free time, I organize trainings for people on how to gain visibility on Linkedin and also serve as tutor for a number of Accounting and Tax related courses. ***I am also open to collaboration and services on the above areas. In as much as I like to think of myself as an introvert, I have actually been doing really great as a speaker in a number of public events I have graced, so yes, I’m also an aspiring speaker and you can invite me for any of your events in my areas of specialty. Hmm, it’s been a long read…Did I miss anything? I guess not. So yeah, that’s a brief summary about Perpetual badejo. You’re welcome once again. Be rest assured that you’d get value connecting with me on this space 😊.

Dear Professionals, before you REJECT that Job offer because the salary looks "too small", please read this. One of the biggest mistakes professionals make during salary negotiations is focusing only on the figure they see on the offer letter. A company offers N500,000. Another company offers N450,000. Immediately, many people conclude that the N500,000 offer is better. But is it really? Not always. Before comparing offers, there are several questions you should ask: 🔘 Is the salary quoted Gross or Net? 🔘 Does the company provide health insurance? 🔘 Are there performance bonuses?

It’s skill. Every year around this period, companies suddenly start looking for tax people urgently. Because once *June* starts approaching fully, panic begins. Filing deadlines. Tax reconciliations. PAYE issues. VAT issues. WHT errors. Demand notices. Audits. And most companies don’t even realize they have problems until the tax authorities start asking questions. A few years ago, one accounta
