Adriana claims she stares into the void, which explains why she’s been waiting for an engagement for thirty days. It’s not an "unstable system" she’s helping creatives navigate; it’s a career path she’s currently running in complete silence.
About Adriana
I'm a professional illustrator. Not a passionate one... a professional one.I have a business degree, acting experience, a background in stage performance, and I spend my nights doing amateur astronomy. That mix of left-brain, right-brain, and staring-at-the-void thinking is exactly what makes my work different.I work with brands that have personality, making the comics, merch, campaigns and weird content pieces that actually get engagement. If your brand has a point of view and needs someone who can translate it visually, that's my lane. On here I share: → Pricing data from real projects (with the actual numbers) → Behind-the-scenes on how I think and work → Comics about work, art and AI's weird future → The occasional rabbit hole nobody asked for You might not agree with everything. But you won't be bored.

It bought me 178 dance classes, binoculars, it bought my mother a full dental reconstruction, my father a laptop for his poetry. Yup, same skills, just better pricing. That's exactly why I built the Pricing Atlas. It's 26 real illustration projects showing what was quoted, what was actually paid, and how the negotiations unfo

I quoted $10k. The client came back with $5K. Best client ever. Most freelancers at this point do one of two things: walk away (thanks “raise your prices!” crowd) or absorb the difference (thanks “AI will steal your job” doomers). Both are losing moves. Here's what I did instead. I went through every deliverable and asked one question: is this load-bearing or decorative? What breaks the story if I cut it and what adds richness when the budget allows? So I accepted the $5K. But I adjusted the scope. The client said yes the same day. First milestone paid within 24 hours. The full breakdow

This is me. Adriana. Summer 2022. Two years into my illustration journey and the unbelievable happened. A big client landed in my inbox. Amazing, right? Well. It was also a problem. Because I had no idea what to charge. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I didn't want to miss it. So I went into full scavenger mode scouring the internet for any real information on what you charge for clients like this. Because the most important lesson I learned in my first two years: you never price illustration by the hour. You price by value and business impact. And for a big brand with a huge
