The roast

Amy calls herself a storyteller, yet her engagement rate of 0.37% suggests she’s the only one in the room actually enjoying the plot. MAR Advisory is just a fancy way of saying she’s a professional consultant for people who also have no idea what they’re doing.

About Amy

Hi there! I'm a New England–based marketing advisor and writer.I've always been curious about the things most people walk past—the places, conversations, everyday moments, and small decisions that quietly shape our lives and work. That curiosity has become the common thread running through everything I do, whether I'm writing an essay, advising a founder, or helping an organization tell its story.Through MAR Advisory, I work with founders, executives, brands, and organizations on narrative strategy, thought leadership, LinkedIn storytelling, and the kinds of introductions and collaborations that help good ideas find the right people. Most of my work falls into three areas:• Narrative & Thought Leadership — helping founders and executives find the words, voice, and stories that make their ideas memorable• Amplification & Visibility — elevating organizations, initiatives, and events through my LinkedIn platform and network• Strategic Connections & Collaborations — bringing together people, organizations, and opportunities across Boston's business communityBefore starting MAR Advisory, I served as a Chief Marketing Officer, building brands inside complex organizations and leading teams through periods of growth, change, and transformation. These days, you'll also find me writing Third Places: A Way of Seeing Boston, a collection of essays inspired by the people, places, and everyday moments that remind me there's usually more to a story than first meets the eye.I've partnered with The Boston Globe, and my work also includes collaborative writing, ghostwriting, and editorial projects for founders, organizations, and mission-driven initiatives.I continue to advise individuals and organizations including Michelle Akers and the 85ers USWNT. I also serve on the boards of The Greg Hill Foundation and Camp Casco, and I'm a member of Chief and an alum of UVM's Women in Leadership program.I'm always happy to connect with thoughtful people—founders, marketers, writers, leaders, and anyone building something meaningful or simply curious about where a good conversation might lead.
