The roast
Shivanand went from selling fries to guarding crypto, proving that when you fail at making people fat, the only logical pivot is helping them lose their life savings. He’s spent his career pivoting from deep-fried potatoes to cold-storage tech because he knows how to keep things lukewarm.
About Shivanand
I started my career in Sales in Zomato and Nearbuy (earlier Groupon India). Owing to the startup environment, I learned about growth tactics and team building and developed a good customer understanding of the growing Rs.75K Crore Indian Restaurant Industry. With this experience, I went on to work with Padmashree Sanjeev Kapoor handling marketing for his chain of 50+restaurants across the globe under the Sanjeev Kapoor Restaurants brand. Also got the opportunity to work closely with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor on his personal endorsements and consultancy business vertical. Having 3 years of experience in sales and marketing in the food domain, I co-founded Yello Foods which is a QSR brand specialising in gourmet fries with over 28 varieties. Yello Foods achieved operational breakeven in 3rd month & overall breakeven in 11 months. However owing to certain financial and medical emergencies, I rejoined the corporate world as Marketing Communication Manager at HDFC Bank. Being part of the central marketing team, I managed brand strategy & marketing communications for Loan products, EasyEMI, Consumer durables and credit cards via BTL (branch collaterals), emails, SMS, push notification, digital banners and FB messenger for HDFC Bank. I was ranked among the top 10 marketing employee and received an award during the Annual Marketing Summit FY 2019 by Head of Cards for HDFC Bank.

A news headline might say, "AI will replace humans." But the GTM leaders I speak to are focused on how AI can make their people better. A newsletter might recommend replacing all your software with vibe-coded apps. But the CIOs I know are doubling down on systems they trust, with strong governance, unified data,
