Fizica, chimia si matematica sunt elementele de baza atunci cand lucrezi. Daca aceste baze nu sunt fundamentate si educate de acasa sau din scoala, vor crea "incertitudine" iar in realitatea din "workspace" sau "lifespace" acestea ne vor surprinde. La o instruire de SSM lucrătorul nu va intelege ce anume din mediul lui de lucru este un pericol si va deveni un risc (efect al incertitudinii) pentru ca nu intelege baza. Iar ofiterul de safety, lucratorul desemnat SSM, nu are abilitatile necesare si nici timpul necesar de a educa, din pacate.
