France is going to replace Windows with Linux on its government computer systems! This is fantastic news! Much of Europe depends on companies like Microsoft / Zoom / Google. Moving to Linux and open-source tools reduces that dependency. With Linux, code is auditable / governments can customise and harden systems / there's less risk of hidden vulnerabilities or external access.
