The roast
Matthew Derella is the Senior Vice President of LinkedIn Ads who manages to post five times a month, proving that even the guy in charge of the billboard business refuses to look at his own product. He’s essentially a professional arsonist who bragged about his expertise in growth while currently holding a torch to his own relevance.
About Matthew
I lead LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions business, focused on one thing: helping companies turn marketing into measurable growth. I believe the future of business is built on trusted data, diverse talent, and teams that move and learn fast together. Former CEO of Catalyte, where we expanded access to opportunity by rethinking how talent is discovered and developed. Long run at Twitter as Chief Customer Officer. Prior to that, I had less grey hair, and worked at Google as Director in their ads business.

Today I'm taking on an expanded role: SVP of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions and Microsoft Advertising. Two distinct businesses. One job: help our advertising customers grow profitably by connecting them with 1B+ people across LinkedIn, Copilot, Bing, Xbox, Outlook, Edge, Windows, MSN, and a global premium publisher ecosystem. Thank you to the LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising teams, and to the customers who we get to help grow and achieve more. https://lnkd.in/evwE_Bsf

"For the first time, LinkedIn has overtaken YouTube as B2B's primary video channel". Wistia's 2026 State of Video Report that draws on 13 million videos analyzed, more than 79 million hours, and a survey of nearly 1,000 marketers. Some 81% of teams now name LinkedIn their primary video channel, up 33 points since 2024. Progress...just getting started. https://lnkd.in/ewi8XjvF
