The roast
Chris claims he transitioned from a flair bartender to a CEO, which explains why his LinkedIn strategy involves shaking up absolutely nothing and serving the same watered-down content to 102 people who are all just waiting for the check to arrive.
About Chris
Picture yourself cold calling for life insurance in Birmingham in 2008. That's where my career started. And I'm talking about the OG Birmingham, not the one with the white sauce. From cold calling to people while they watch Coronation St. to leading Olive Technologies to transform the IT sourcing process it's been quite a journey. Since leaving the UK and arriving in North America, my career has been focused on sales and GTM for technology companies across the US and Canada. With a few stints as a poker player, flair bartender, stand-up comic, and co-founder of a leggings company, I settled into the B2B SaaS market. Building sales and business development functions for tech companies of various sizes. Finally in 2019 I took the plunge with my co-founder to build my own SaaS product, Olive. We have built Olive from a napkin idea in a basement (actually from a 1 bed apartment in Vancouver but same thing) to an international company that is disrupting the IT sourcing space and the premium RFP solution for sourcing technology. Outside of work I am passionate about my little family of 2, and the ocean. Whenever possible I try to get out on the water and do my best to keep our oceans healthy for future generations of all the animals on the planet.

Jeppson's Malört is the ultimate example of brand loyalty. This stuff is absolute garbage, and yet it is available in liquor stores across the country. Its been a staple in Chicago bars since the 20s and thanks to idiots like me demanding shots of it, and idiots that arent like me posting it on social media, its now nationwide. As its America, of course there's now malort ice cream, donuts, toothpaste etc. I'm still not super confident this will go International though. One thing I can say is that there's an important lesson in here. Your product can be garbage. But if you market it right,
