The roast
Dan claims to use predictive modeling to stop businesses from guessing, which is hilarious considering he literally spent his free time wrestling an anaconda—a hobby where the only data point is how quickly your ribcage turns into dust. It’s comforting to know the guy charging for hyper-personalized insight is the same genius who looked at a constrictor and thought, I should go make that personal.
About Dan
I help marketing, sales, and enrollment teams stop guessing and start converting—using AI models trained on billions of behavioral signals. As Founder and CEO of Wrench.ai, I work with organizations that want to shift from generic outreach to hyper-personalized engagement—at scale. We blend psychographic profiling, predictive modeling, and 1st-party enrichment to unlock smarter segmentation, better targeting, and radically improved ROI. I’ve spent two decades obsessing over how people make decisions. Whether you’re a CRO trying to fix a leaky pipeline or a CMO buried under messy CRM data, I’m here to make sure your tech stack works for your team—not the other way around. Highlights: 🧠 Developed Wrench’s AI engine, trained on over 1 billion interactions to decode intent and boost GTM precision 📈 Helped teams increase engagement by 5x and reduce acquisition costs by 83% 🧪 Partnered with 65+ organizations to operationalize psychographic AI across marketing, sales, and admissions\ 🎤 Speaker & advisor on AI, personalization, and the neuroscience of trust in digital experiences 🐍 Once wrestled an anaconda on purpose (and survived to build a company)

FWIW, I think you ought to be upfront and prominent before they ask just as good practice. The underlying principle that makes word of mouth marketing work is people have disproportionate emotional reactions when surprised... When it's good, you get virality. When it's bad, you get the opposite, and people WILL get fierce. The moment someone realizes you were willing to burn their time, but not willing to sacrifice your own, they get mad. If they find out their suspicions were confirmed, you're going to get a burnt relationship. Better to just disclose it.

If your marketing strategy changes every time the founder has a new idea, it’s not strategy. It’s random acts of marketing with a logo. Dan Baird sits down to talk with Michael Buzinski, aka Buzz, about why founder-led companies stall, why most B2B messaging is painfully bloated, and why AI is making judgment more valuable, not less. We get into: - The hidden cost of founder dependency - Why most B2B marketing is too vague to work - Buzz’s framework for fixing one clearly urgent struggle for one clearly unique stakeholder - What it looks like to scale a business without the founder choking t

If your AI strategy is just “ship it faster and let the bots figure it out”… you’re not building the future. You’re speedrunning technical debt, security risk, and a very expensive cleanup job. On our newest episode Dan Baird sits down with Stephanie Sylvestre, AI entrepreneur, co-founder of AVATAR BUDDY®,LLC, and longtime operator building human-centered AI before it was trendy, to talk about what useful AI actually looks like when you care about outcomes, not just output. We get into: - Why “human-centered AI” should be the default, not a marketing phrase - The difference between automatio
