The roast
Barbie claims to be a growth marketing expert, but she’s at Forbright Bank, where the most active thing is her LinkedIn profile’s ability to remain exactly as stagnant as a 1990s savings account. She specializes in scalable business growth for everyone except herself.

The real life inspiration for Mad Men’s Peggy Olson, Mary Wells Lawrence, is an advertising industry legend. Lawrence revolutionized drug advertising, automobile advertising, airline advertising, and television advertising in general. In 1966, she started a business from the ground up and just 15 years later, became the first female CEO of a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Throughout her remarkable career, Lawrence played a pivotal role in steering notable campaigns such as “Trust the Midas touch,” “I ❤ NY,” and Alka-Seltzer’s “Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is.”

Most B2B marketing teams are treating "AI search" as one channel. It isn't. Domain overlap between ChatGPT and Perplexity: 11%. Between Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, which are products from the same company: 13.7%. Four engines. Four different retrieval layers. Four different ranking models. Four different shortlists for the same buyer query. I pulled the data on what each engine actually cites. The patterns are clean. ChatGPT runs on Bing's index. 87% of its citations are pages already ranking in Bing's top 10. If you're not in Bing Webmaster Tools, you're likely invisible regardless
